Dear ,
This February edition brings new momentum from Leiden's conference and knowledge ecosystem. We continue to support you in exploring the full potential of our City of Science and in shaping future events in Leiden.
In this edition you will find updates from Leiden Convention Bureau and our partners. We look back on the EventSummit, where we proudly presented Leiden together with nine partners. The joint presence was a strong success and showed how our city and region work together as one conference destination.

Leiden shines at EventSummit 2026 |
Last January, we presented Leiden with a joint Leidenstreet at the EventSummit 2026. The EventSummit is a national fair for the event industry. Together with nine partners, we showed what Leiden and region can offer for different kinds of events. Visitors could create an AI Rembrandt portrait and meet Rembrandt van Rijn in real life. The collective presence created strong visibility for Leiden as an event destination and led to many new valuable contacts. A successful trade show focused on collaboration, storytelling and connection. |

We want to welcome our new partners Wibar Leiden and Grand Café de Burcht, who will join Leiden Convention Bureau in representing Leiden as an (inter)national event destination. Two venues that add character and scale to the city and regional offer for business events. Wibar Leiden brings a creative, high impact setting, while Grand Café de Burcht offers a historic location in the heart of the city, at the foot of the iconic Burcht. We look forward to building a strong partnership together! |

As Account Manager Conferences at Leiden Convention Bureau, I manage the partnerships across the city and region. I work closely with venues, hotels, knowledge institutions and suppliers, and know exactly what each partner can offer for conferences and business events.
I connect organizers with the right people and places, translate ideas into concrete programmes, and make sure everything fits Leiden as the City of Science. If you are looking for the best partners, smart combinations or fun facts about Leiden, you are in the right place. |
