- All the expat information you need, provided by us. A new website will be launched this Spring.
- New internationals in the Leiden region who will register their citizenship at the Expat Centre Leiden and might become new friends.
- The theme of ‘De Stijl 1917-2017’ (The Style) in Leiden, where this revolutionary art scene was founded, with many events and happenings.
- Beautiful Dutch Seasons and lots of sunny days in all four seasons. Hopefully…

Expat Centre Agreement now official
Another great milestone for the Expat Centre Leiden: the Agreement has been signed by each of the 11 parties concerned. According to Corine van der Ceelen, manager of the Expat Centre: 'We regard the first registration as the official starting point, though the signing of the agreement is just as significant.

Can you introduce yourself? Who is Corine? 
I’m originally Dutch, and have worked in HR in the Netherlands for years. First in consultancy, later at a technical company that hired internationals and sent employees abroad to France and Taiwan. This is when I first worked with internationals and learned about the huge possibilities as well as the challenges of global living. My family then moved to Malaysia. I worked as a secretary and later as chairperson of the Board of ‘De Bontekoe’, the Dutch School in Kuala Lumpur my children were attending. After having lived there for three years, we moved to Bangalore in India. Here I led a Shell Outpost team. Outpost is a unique expatriate support system that helps Shell’s internationally mobile staff and their families to face the challenges of global mobility.
